One of the most successful fashion designers of all time, 80-year-old Giorgio Armani certainly knows what he likes and how to express this. Therefore, it was only fitting that Armani oversaw the interior design of his beach retreat on France's Côte d’Azur himself. The external design is typically French provincial but inside is very much a blend of worldly influences.
Take for example the framed Chinese tapestry, the vintage Armani/Casa lamps and the tiger-striped velvet upholstered armchairs - all found in the entrance hall. Continue to the patio and there is a gong and statues from Thailand.
The home features plenty of vintage throughout along with local pieces such as the large photograph in the dining room which was taken by a local artist and the leather chairs and floor cushions in the living room from Saint-Tropez.
Armani is known around the world. It's therefore only fitting that he collects little pieces from his worldly travels for his private sanctuary.
