There’s no better way to experience nature than to camp in style. All over Australia, glamping spots have been popping up making it much easier for people to experience the outdoors - especially for those who don’t want to let go of certain comforts.
In this post, I list down my top glamping spots that’ll have you leaning toward enjoying the great outdoors immediately.
Located just outside of the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park is Longitude 131. Here in this luxury camp, visitors can experience the beauty and stillness of Australia’s desert.
Each tent is designed to offer a premium experience designed by no other than one of Australia’s leading architects, Philip Cox. But in 2013, the property underwent a transformation spearheaded by the award-winning South African architect, Max Pritchard.
The unique location of Longitude 131 combined with the sustainable design of each accommodation is a one-of-a-kind experience that I’m definitely itching to visit.
When I think of going off the beaten path but still residing in luxury, there’s only one place that comes to mind and it’s the glamping site at the Bamurru Plains.
The Bamurru Plains is situated at the heart of Australia’s Northern Territory, and you can expect a relaxing camping experience in the beautiful wilderness.
Bamurru Plains has a safari chic bungalow interior design that’s just so immersive. It’s pretty clever how they used expansive mesh walls to make you feel as if you’re sleeping outside. These mesh walls makes connecting with nature minus the discomfort possible.
About 90 minutes away from Melbourne is the Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs. The property looks gorgeous and I adore how the property is designed to put the focus on the geothermal mineral springs - leaving visitors feeling relaxed and refreshed.
The Peninsula Hot Springs offers luxurious accommodations that are set to rejuvenate guests. These premium glamping tents are furnished with plush comforters and the most comfortable beds while leaning towards natural and rustic colours.
The colour palette and the choice of furniture just gives me the impression of pure relaxation and connection with nature.
In South East Queensland, you can find another gorgeous safari-style glamping experience whose interior design I adore.
I think that Spicers Canopy Eco Lodge made such great use of their space by allowing guests to have the mountains as their backdrop. One of my favourite features of this property is how each tent exudes comfort - a design choice that just makes anyone feel right at home.
Of course, it doesn’t hurt that your home in the outdoors also comes with a hot tub, right?
I’m pretty sure that I saved the best for last when it comes to my favourite glamping site. Currajong Retreat is located in the countryside of New South Wales.
I think that Currajong is definitely one of the most luxurious properties I’ve encountered. Each tent has a waterfall shower, log burner, and a signature outdoor bath. You can even enjoy the jaw-dropping views of the Towamba River while you’re lounging in your outdoor bath tub.
