The Drake Hotel brand has opened its latest creation, this time in the village of Wellington, Ontario. The Drake Devonshire Inn is a visionary lakeside escape; a blend of bespoke hotel and cultural community centre. Guests in the 11 rooms and two expansive suites can enjoy seasonal farm and lake-to-table dining menus, art installations by emerging and renowned art-world stars, infinite lake views from the dining room and deck and a range of recreational activities including biking and cross-country skiing, fly fishing, golf, yoga studios, and water sports at Sandbanks Provincial Park, to name a few.The hotel also offers celebrated cultural programming, featuring local musicians, artists and performers. And in winter, visitors can relax in front of the indoor or outdoor fireplaces. The building itself has its origins as The Wellington Iron Foundry, whilst the inside is a juxtaposition of vintage finds and quirky custom pieces.
