The house that Katy Perry has lived in since 2017 was recently placed on the market. This means that we are able to have a good old sticky beak of her gorgeous home and check out her personal style via the real estate photos.
The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home is located in Beverly Hills (of course!) It is in an exclusive guarded celebrity enclave, her neighbours include Nicole Kidman, Adele and Cameron Diaz.
The European-style villa was designed to create privacy, beginning with HUGE gates that open onto a 400 metre, tree-lined driveway. The property sits on more than an acre of park-like grounds, and has private hiking trails accessible to the home. It would definitely have not been a bad place to be locked down in.
Katy often dresses in unique outfits and makes bold choices with her hair and make-up. Surprisingly, her home is not as daring as her stage persona, however, there are definitely quirky touches in the furnishings and she certainly has a great eye for colour, with some inspiring choices. Let’s check out the pics…
The ivy covered exterior of the home is charming. The entrance to the property sets the scene in Katy’s signature vintage style, with a deeply-recessed dusky pink front door, framed perfectly by two original oval windows and silver birch trees.
Great use of colour is a feature of the interior of the home. Highlights includes the formal dining room with rich purple velvet chairs and an opulent deep pink marble dining table. The denim-blue walls of the library are enhanced with tie-dyed curtains and the 2 living areas in the home feature fun patterns and colour contrasts.
The kitchen of the home is surprisingly understated, but is still high end with stunning feature pendant lights, commercial grade appliances, a huge T-shaped island and butler’s pantry.
Other quirky touches include amazing patterned wallpaper in a powder room. And a hand painted mural in the hallway alongside a delightful stain glassed window.
There is also a nod to Australia in Katy’s bathroom and kitchen accessories, with Aesop her brand of choice for hand soap and moisturiser.
The elegant master bedroom suite has dusty blue walls and rich chestnut drapes. It also features a fireplace, plus a marble bathroom, two closets and a private garden terrace. The streamlined brass four-poster and gold upholstered easy chairs bring glamor to the space.
Other amenities include a wellness centre with a gym, sauna, cold plunge pool and shower. Outdoors there is a very cool cubby, Springfree trampoline and baby swing are close to the house. The feature of the grounds is a stunning infinity pool with amazing valley views, surrounded by a patio and lounge area.
The pop star bought the home in 2017 for nearly USD$18 million, it has placed on the market for USD$20 million (AUD$28.3 million).
